More Over-the-Counter Services at Branches

The BCRA set out, through Communication A7028, that financial institutions must also offer, since June 1st, over the counter services to people with disabilities who make a prior appointment and submit the Unique Disability Certificate (Certificado Único de Discapacidad, CUD). In case they are social security beneficiaries, they will continue collecting their grants over the counter as scheduled by the ANSES or the relevant paying agent.

In addition, any branch may collect loan payments in cash over the counter—with prior appointment—, provided that they do not pay social security benefits.

Both individuals and companies may go on making the following authorized transactions on the dates previously arranged by the branches:

  • Open accounts
  • Manage loans
  • Submit documentation
  • Access safe-deposit boxes
  • Make arrangements related to accounts
  • Deposit and withdraw foreign currency

Customers may make appointments through the digital channels or phone numbers made available by banks. The tickets obtained will serve as a circulation permit and will be requested for entry into the bank.

Withdrawal and deposit transactions in pesos are only carried out through ATMs and self-service terminals. In the case large amount of cash are involved, customers—whatever their activities— must previously plan with the bank.

Banks are to ensure that financial service users—either customers or non-customers—may withdraw up to ARS15,000 per day through ATMs—in a single transaction, if they so wish—free of charges or fees up to June 30.
