The 1978 FIFA World Cup (the IX staging) was held in Argentina. This was the first time our country hosted a world football championship. To commemorate this event, two series of copper and silver coins were issued at the time. The importance and significance of this coinage, the only one in our history about a sports event, makes these pieces a memorable series for collectors and football lovers.
