Memorandum on cooperation between Argentina and Russia

The governors of the central banks of both countries, Miguel Pesce and Elvira Nabiullina, signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the spheres of their mutual interests.

The central banks of Argentina and Russia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in the spheres of their mutual interests.

The MoU was signed at a distance by the Governor of the BCRA, Miguel Pesce, and the Governor of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, within the framework of the social isolation policy adopted by both countries.

The International Cooperation Department of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the International Relations and Agreements Senior Management Office of the BCRA will be in charge of the implementation.

The MoU will serve to exchange information on monetary policy design and implementation, payment systems development and financial infrastructure, financial system development, regulations on international settlements, and on other activities falling within the central banks’ competence under the national laws of both countries.
