Universal Free Account (UGC) Relaunch
The Universal Free Account (CGU) is a savings account in pesos, with free opening, maintenance, movements of funds and balance consultations.
Who is the CGU for?
To all people who do not have a bank account.
What do you need to open a UGC?
You only have to have an ID card and not have another bank account.
Benefits of UGC
– No costs for opening, maintenance, movement of funds and balance inquiries at ATMs of different banks and networks in the country.
– Debit card.
– Free withdrawals of money at any ATM of the bank you choose to open it.
– Up to eight monthly withdrawals at no cost, at any ATM.
Where can it be opened?
From February 1, 2020, all entities must offer the Universal Free Account. If the bank refuses to open it, a complaint can be filed with the head of financial services user service at that same bank.
