The sheet

This uncut currency sheet is made up of 28 printed banknotes of $1 (one peso) of the original series of the Peso Line, with the portrait of Carlos Pellegrini, President of Argentina between 1890 and 1892.
The quality of the intaglio engravings featured in the obverse portrait and the vignette of the Argentine Congress on the reverse is particularly noteworthy, along with the offset-printed backgrounds on both sides.

Characteristics

The sheet is presented in its original format, measuring 642 mm × 490 mm, with cutting and registration marks in the margins of the obverse.

Security features

The piece bears its serial number and print series and retains all of its original security features: fibers and a watermark in the paper; and see-through register, latent-image rosette, and luminescent ink.
