Procedure to register a reciprocal guarantee company in the Registry of Reciprocal Guarantee Companies of the BCRA.

What is it?

This is the procedure through which reciprocal guarantee companies interested in having the guarantees granted by them for financing to MSMEs and third parties be registered in the pertinent registry, so that the financial institutions may grant them the status of preferred guarantee, in accordance with the framework set forth in Article 80 of Law 24,467 and the applicable Ordinance.

Who is it for?

Mutual guarantee companies wishing to be registered in the Registry of Reciprocal Guarantee Societies of the BCRA.

Submit the documentation through the BCRA’s Front Desk, according to the instructions for submitting notes to the Front Desk.

What is needed?

In accordance with the Ordinance on Mutual Guarantee Companies, the following must be submitted:

Company data

  • – Contact information.
  • – General data.
  • – Legal address.
  • – Registered office.

    Documentation

    • Note signed by the legal representative of the entity, stating the intention to register in the Register of Mutual Guarantee Companies.

    If additional information is required, the provisions of the specific regulations apply.

    How is it done?

    1 | Gather information and documentation

    Compile the company’s identification data and the formal note of application for registration.

    2 | Submit the application through the Intake Desk

    a) Draw up a note signed by the legal representative expressing the intention to register.
    b) Submit the documentation through the Entrance Desk, according to the instructions for submitting notes to the Entrance Desk.

    3 | Address the BCRA’s observations

    a) The documentation is reviewed for validation.
    b) In case of formal faults or requirements, corrections or clarifications shall be requested.
    c) All notices are sent to the email address declared by the company.

    4 | Receive confirmation of registration

    Once the requirements are fulfilled, the SEFyC notifies the registration and grants a number in the Registry of Mutual Guarantee Companies.
