Summary
PNFC Quantity | The number of PNFCs registered with the BCRA reached 444 companies in March 2022 (25 registrations and 23 cancellations since June 2021), corresponding to 325 to OPNFCs (exclusive), 79 to ETCNB (exclusive) and 40 to suppliers that are registered in both regimes.
Amount of financing | As of December 2021, a total of 336 companies reported their debtor portfolio (76% of those registered), reaching a balance of financing of $514,000 million (+20% at constant prices compared to June 2021).
Non-bank credit card assistance increased 13% in real terms in the same period, being the largest participation in the total balance (55% at the end of 2021). The rest of the assistance grew by 30% at constant values, mainly explained by personal loans.
Evolution of financing amounts by subgroups of suppliers | In the semester under analysis, the growth of financing of the Fintech subgroup stood out, doubling the amounts granted in relation to June 2021 at constant prices. While the subgroups of Leasing & factoring and Other trade chains had a negative performance.
Total Debtors and Average Debt | The number of debtors assisted by the PNFCs reached approximately 8.8 million people at the end of 2021, 21% more than in June of the same year. However, the average total debt per assistance decreased in the second half of the year (-3% in real terms).
Number of Reporting Companies and Interest Rate for Personal Loans | In December 2021, the proportion of OPNFCs that reported the TNA for personal loans was in the order of 67% of the register, with Fintechs exhibiting the highest proportion of informants (84%).
The weighted average APR of OPNFCs stood at 114% at the end of 2021, with a level similar to that observed in June of the same year. Fintechs continue to exhibit the highest rates (126% in December 2021), while Cooperatives and mutuals the lowest (84%).
Number of Informants and Interest Rate for Credit Card Financing | Within the ETCNB registry, 72% of them reported the compensatory interest rate in December 2021. The simple average APR was 63%.
Irregularity | The irregularity of the PNFC credit portfolio decreased by 4 p.p. during the second half of 2021, reaching 13% in the last month of the year. The origination of new financing explains the reduction in the indicator.
