Organize a group visit to the Central Bank Museum
Organize a group guided tour, in person or virtually, to the Historical and Numismatic Museum of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), coordinating date and time by email with the Museum team.
What is it?
It is the procedure to coordinate group guided visits to the Historical and Numismatic Museum of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic, in the following modality:
– in person, at the Museum’s headquarters in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, or
– virtual, through a 360° tour guided by the Museum team.
These visits are aimed at organized groups (mainly educational and community institutions) and allow them to tour the rooms, learn about the collections and work on content related to economic, monetary and financial history.
For individual visits it is not necessary to carry out this procedure or book an appointment.
Individual face-to-face visits can be made from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with free admission, and can be presented directly at the headquarters of the Central Bank Museum (Reconquista 266, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires). The tour can be done autonomously and audio guides are available in Spanish and English, accessible through a QR code available at the entrance of the Museum or online.
Who is it for?
The procedure is aimed at:
- – educational institutions at all levels;
– Community, cultural or social organisations;
– organised visitor groups (e.g. courses, workshops, associations).
Visits can be made in groups of approximately 10 to 30 people, to ensure a better experience.

Additional information
Cancellations and rescheduling
In the event of the need to cancel a group visit (face-to-face or virtual), it is requested to notify as far in advance as possible to the telephone or email indicated in the confirmation, in order to offer the vacancy to another institution.
Rescheduling already scheduled visits can be complex, as shifts fill up quickly. Modifications are considered exceptionally, subject to availability.
Punctuality and organization of the group
It is recommended to plan the transfer to the Museum considering traffic and possible delays.
A delay has a direct impact on the time available to participate in the activities.
For school groups, the presence of at least one referent person for every 10 students is suggested; In the case of larger groups, it may be necessary to divide them into two subgroups with referents in each.
Accessibility and services
The building has accessible toilets, ramps and an elevator for people with reduced mobility.
The Museum has a cloakroom to leave bags, backpacks, coats, umbrellas, food and drinks, which are removed at the end of the visit.
It is not allowed to enter the rooms with backpacks, food or drinks or touch the pieces, except in specific cases authorized by the Museum staff.
Parking and transfers
The Museum does not have its own parking lot.
Vehicles can board and unload passengers in front of the building, but not remain parked during the visit.
Photographs and support materials
Photography is allowed inside the Museum, trying to avoid the use of flash in the display areas.
