Banks may now offer shorter-term UVA-denominated time deposits, the minimum term having been lowered from 180 days to 90 days. The same will apply to funds deposited in the UVA Moneybox (UVA-denominated savings account).
This way, the BCRA seeks to encourage Argentinians’ long-term savings within the domestic financial system.
