University essay contest, on CAF’s 50th anniversary

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic joins the university essay contest organized by the CAF (Development Bank of Latin America), on its 50th anniversary, together with the central banks of Ibero-America.

CAF (Development Bank of Latin America), together with the central banks of Ibero-America, will award the best essays on integration, public policies and innovation and productivity in the Ideas for the Future contest, aimed at young students from universities in the region.

The initiative aims to collect the vision of the future (2030) that young people have for their countries, including the challenges and challenges, and proposals on how to face them.

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic joins this initiative, in line with institutional actions in the field of education and the stimulation of research and economic analysis.

The best essay at the national and regional level will be awarded in each of the three categories included in the contest: (i) integration, ii) public policies and (iii) innovation and productivity. Those who win the regional instance will present their essay within the framework of the CAF Conference, which will take place in Quito in November 2019, and will receive US$ 2,000 each. At the national level, one winning essay will be chosen per category in each country, which will then compete in the general call, which brings together CAF’s 19 shareholder countries.
