The Governor of the BCRA participated in a BIS symposium in Shanghai and met with the Governor of the People’s Bank of China

The monetary authorities of both countries exchanged views on the economic situation and addressed topics of mutual interest regarding cooperation.

The Governor of the BCRA, Santiago Bausili, participated in an international symposium hosted by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the Chinese central bank, in Shanghai, on June 10. He also held a meeting with the Governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC), Pan Gongsheng.

During the meeting, the monetary authorities of both countries exchanged views on the current international economic and financial situation. They also addressed the matter related to the operation of the global monetary system as well as topics of mutual interest regarding cooperation between central banks, in the context of increasing financial interdependence.
