Thursday, October 29, 2026

The BCRA will continue to promote cooperation and joint efforts that may help strengthen the effectiveness of the prevention system, foster a culture of compliance, and safeguard the integrity of the financial system.

In line with the International Anti-Money Laundering Day, the BCRA ratifies its commitment to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and the financing of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (AML/CTF/CPF).

The actions carried out by the BCRA throughout 2026 have contributed to strengthening coordination and information-sharing mechanisms among the various participants of the prevention system.

Meetings were held with financial institutions to discuss supervisory matters and the quality of suspicious transaction reports. Additionally, working groups were established with the Argentine Financial Intelligence Unit and representatives of the financial system. Inter-institutional meetings were also held to assess emerging threats and strengthen preventive capabilities against illicit financial flows.

These forums made it possible to analyze challenges and deepen understanding of the risks facing the system, supporting a more effective AML/CTF/CPF response and strengthening the integrity and resilience of the financial system.

The prevention system faces increasingly complex, dynamic, and transnational challenges that call for comprehensive, coordinated responses. The BCRA will continue to promote cooperation and joint efforts that may help strengthen the effectiveness of the prevention system, foster a culture of compliance, and safeguard the integrity of the financial system.
