The BCRA extends the call for Argentine and foreign artists living in Argentina to participate in the IX 2016 BCRA National Painting Award with a view to preserving, promoting, and encouraging national painting.

The jury is composed by Rafael Cippolini, Silvia Gurfein, Oscar Smoljan, Tulio De Zagastizábal and Mercedes Casanegra. The curator of this edition is Eva Grinstein.

The paintings selected will be exhibited in a museum or cultural center that will be timely determined. On the occasion of the exhibition opening, the members of the jury and BCRA’s authorities will award the prizes for every category.
Like in previous years, wining paintings will become a part of the pictorial heritage of the BCRA within its facilities, which has been declared National Historic Heritage.
