The BCRA extends the call for Argentine and foreign artists living in Argentina to participate in the IX 2016 BCRA National Painting Award sponsored by the BCRA with a view to preserve, promote, and encourage national painting.

The Jury is composed of Rafael Cippolini, Silvia Gurfein, Oscar Smoljan, Tulio de Zagastizabal and Mercedes Casanegra. The curator will be Eva Grinstein.
On this occasion, awards will be given as follows:

The paintings selected will be exhibited in a museum or cultural center to be timely defined. On the opening day of the exhibition, the members of the jury and BCRA’s authorities shall award the prizes for every category.
Like in previous years, wining paintings will become a part of the pictorial heritage of the BCRA within its facilities, which has been declared National Historic Heritage.
