The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) ordered the automatic resumption of all procedural deadlines as of November 23, 2020, for the generality of foreign exchange and financial actions, instructed under the terms of the Laws of the Criminal Exchange Regime and Financial Institutions, respectively.
The deadlines are suspended until November 22 within the framework of the Preventive and Mandatory Social Isolation policies provided by the national government, without prejudice to the validity of the procedural acts that are carried out in that period because the intervention of the accused is not necessary in them.
The effective resumption of the deadlines will take place on November 24, since the 23rd has been declared a national holiday.
The Board of Directors established that:
-Submission of documents: They must be submitted on paper to the General Admission Board of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic, from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-Collation of proceedings: Establish that for those cases in which it was requested by lawyers, official defenders, summary proceedings, experts and any other person presented in the file, face-to-face assistance in the Gerencias of Contentious Affairs in Foreign Exchange and Financial Matters, attention to them will be arranged through the assignment of previous shifts, those that must be requested from gerencia.cambiaria@bcra.gob.ar in the case of foreign exchange actions and gerencia.financiera@bcra.gob.ar with respect to financial actions. The date for the assignment of shifts will be set according to the existence or not of procedural deadlines in progress to make presentations, answer transfers, appeal decisions and/or the urgency determined in each case.
–Consultations: People may make inquiries to the gerencia.cambiaria@bcra.gob.ar and gerencia.financiera@bcra.gob.ar email addresses regarding the status of the foreign exchange and financial summaries. These inquiries must be made from the e-mail addresses provided at the time of setting up the electronic addresses.
-Acts of the process: all acts by the BCRA that can be carried out remotely and digitally in the foreign exchange and financial summaries and summaries, will be carried out in this way without affecting their validity.
