The Minister of Economy, Silvina Batakis, and the Governor of the BCRA, Miguel Ángel Pesce, have held a meeting this Monday to coordinate work agendas.
During the meeting, they assessed the macroeconomic and financial scenario, and agreed on the need to further the development of the capital market.
Batakis and Pesce also agreed on the importance of continuing working on a program for fiscal sustainability and reserve accumulation, and of the BCRA’s support to the price of the Treasury’s securities and bills.
They highlighted the significance of both processes in the National Government’s road map to ensure economic stability.
They also addressed aspects relative to the impact of the energy policy on the forex market and assessed the measures implemented to improve the system of payments for imports.
