With the aim of promoting the opening of savings banks and the greater use of electronic means of payment among young people between 13 and 17 years of age, the fourth regulation is incorporated into #SaberEsCentral, the financial education platform of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA).
On this occasion, information will be provided on the possibilities that each adolescent has to open their own savings account without the need to be accompanied by their parents. The focus will also be on the benefits of using the free electronic means of payment provided by this product. The objective is for adolescents to be able to incorporate new financial skills that result in benefits for their daily lives.
Mariano Iglesias, head of Financial Education at the BCRA, together with the family of digital characters from #SaberEsCentral, explains in a clear and simple way, what is needed to open an account, what advantages the use of the associated debit card offers and what are the benefits of using Internet banking.
#SaberEsCentral is a digital content platform to communicate BCRA regulations that promote the greater use of bank accounts and electronic means of payment by users of financial services.
One of the BCRA’s main responsibilities is to promote tools and services that promote financial inclusion. #SaberEsCentral then becomes a key tool to increase people’s financial capabilities and, consequently, the economic development of the population.
The regulations that will complete #SaberEsCentral are:
– Facilities for closing all types of accounts
– Salary Accounts Opened by Workers
– Social Allowance Accounts
