Operations in banks are extended as of Monday 20

Saturday, April 18, 2020

To go to the branches you have to make an appointment. This week it will be possible to deposit and withdraw dollars. Retirees and pensioners, without an appointment, according to the ANSES schedule.

Banks will open this week at the usual hours, maintaining the obligation to make an appointment in advance for service and adding the possibility of carrying out deposit and withdrawal operations of foreign currency.

Retirees and pensioners do not need an appointment, but they have to consult the ANSeS for their corresponding date of service before approaching a branch.

To access the branch, it is necessary to make an appointment through the channels that the bank makes available (the website and other channels). The bank and the customer may coordinate the shift for any day of the week. The proof of the previously managed appointment serves as a circulation permit and will be requested to enter the bank.

In the branches, you can carry out operations such as opening accounts, managing a loan, presenting documentation, accessing safe deposit boxes, and carrying out transactions related to the accounts, both of individuals and companies. Now the possibility of carrying out operations in dollars is added, both for deposit and withdrawal, but always with an assigned shift.

Withdrawal and deposit operations in pesos are maintained by ATMs or self-service terminals or other systems made available by the entity. In the case of large volumes of cash, whatever the activity, the way in which banknotes can be deposited or withdrawn must be agreed with the entity.

ATMs are required to dispense at least $15,000 per day – and in a single operation, if the customer so wishes – and their use does not generate charges or commissions, both for customers and non-customers of the financial institution, until June 30.

You can also withdraw money at participating shops or withdrawal points, such as supermarkets or pharmacies.

Exchange houses will remain closed for face-to-face public service. However, they will be able to operate remotely.
