The Supreme Court of Justice of Argentina suspended the hearing set for today in the case “Provincia de Mendoza c/ Banco Central de la República Argentina s/ declaración de certeza,” at the request of the parties.
The province of Mendoza requested Banco Nación, which acts as its fiscal agent, to access the forex market under the terms of the BCRA’s regulation for the repayment of debt.
The monitoring bank considered that the province complied with the BCRA’s regulation, and granted access to the forex market to repay debt maturing on September 19.
For this reason, the province and the BCRA asked the Supreme Court to suspend the hearing scheduled for this Wednesday.
