Luis Caputo, Governor of the BCRA, submitted his resignation today to the President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri.
He resigned on personal grounds, with the conviction that the new deal with the International Monetary Fund would restore public trust in the fiscal, financial, monetary, and foreign exchange systems.
Caputo has thanked President Macri for his vote of confidence upon appointing him for different positions since the start of his administration, first as Secretary of Finance, then as Minister of Public Finance, and later as Governor of the BCRA.
