The BCRA ordered that financial institutions accept financial statements submitted electronically by their customers through the Balance Sheet Single Filing (Presentación Única de Balances, PUB) service available at the website of the Federal Administration of Public Revenue (Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos, AFIP).
Thus, in order to comply with the requirements provided for in the BCRA’s regulations, companies may send their financial statements electronically, including the Annual Report and the External Auditor’s Report.
The regulation (Communication A 6716), effective next October 1, will help simplify and speed up submissions to be made by companies to financial institutions and will reduce costs for both parties.
Furthermore, this measure deepens the use of electronic means to reduce the use of paper.
