The BCRA has opened the call to apply for the 16th edition of the “Dr. Raúl Prebisch” Economic Research Annual Award

The BCRA invites students, young professionals, and PhD economists to participate in the 16th edition of the Economic Research Award.

Students, young professionals, and PhD economists are called to participate in the BCRA’s 16th edition of the “Dr. Raúl Prebisch” Economic Research Annual Award. Papers may be submitted through September 30, 2024.

The Economic Research Award is granted by the BCRA and aims at stimulating scientific and academic progress, and promoting research on monetary, macroeconomic, financial and banking topics. Topics may deal with theoretical or empirical monetary, macroeconomic, financial and banking issues—at local or international level.

Categories:

University Students: students of Economics or related studies at public or private universities throughout the country.

Young Professionals: with no more than five years as graduates in Economics or related studies.

PhD Thesis in Economics passed in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Papers should be submitted through an online registration form.

The jury is composed of Vladimir Werning (Deputy Governor of the BCRA), Mauro Alessandro (Economic Research Deputy General Manager of the BCRA), Sebastián Katz (Economic Research Works Senior Manager of the BCRA and Academic Director of the B.A. degree in Economics at Universidad de Buenos Aires), and Laura D’Amato (Lecturer at Universidad del Centro de Estudios Macroeconómicos de Argentina).

The awarded papers will be posted on the award section of the BCRA’s website and will be considered for publication in the BCRA’s academic journal Ensayos Económicos (Economic Essays).
