The Board of Directors of the Central Bank today sanctioned the extension for 45 days of the deadlines that determine the situation of arrears for agricultural producers affected by climatic events, allowing them to obtain new ways of financing to go through the emergency situation.
The benefit is valid in all banks and consists of adding 45 more days to the qualification periods as a debtor of the financial system in categories 1, 2 and 3. For example, if category 1 considers debtors who are up to 30 days late in payments to the bank to be in a normal situation, thanks to this benefit, the debtor may be in arrears of up to 75 days.
The measure will be in force until December 31, 2019.
