The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic decided to authorize an update of the commissions received by banks for the provision of services to financial users, which may be effective in January and February 2021, with caps of 9% each month.
The cost of commissions has been frozen since February 19 due to the effect of Communication A6912.
The update includes:
Savings banks: issuance of additional debit cards; replacement of debit cards due to theft or loss; use of ATMs (outside the bank’s operating houses, another entity and/or network) and funds withdrawal services through terminals at points of sale and cash withdrawals from the account by the account holder or a third party.
Credit cards: account issuance, renewal, administration or maintenance service; replacement or reprinting of card due to theft or loss and additional cards.
Financial institutions may also provide for increases in the commissions of other financial products and services, such as those related to the safe deposit box service, securities transactions and bank checking accounts.
