Do banks open for general public?
Yes, but with restrictions. From April 13 to 17, natural and legal persons with an appointment will be allowed to make transactions in person, but not through over-the-counter services.
If I am a retired/pensioner. Can I make transactions through over-the-counter services?
Yes. Transactions through over-the-counter services are exclusively for the retirement pay and pensions. Beneficiaries are allowed to go to the bank as scheduled by the ANSES. If you are a retired or pensioner, you do not need an appointment, but you must check with ANSES before going to the branch.
Are the retired/pensioners only able to make transactions through over-the-counter services?
Only the retired/pensioners shall operate through over-the-counter services.
When will the banks be open?
Business hours will be from 10 am to 5 pm in CABA and GBA. In other jurisdictions, two extra hours are added to business hours.
What are the requirements to make transactions in person at the bank?
Customers shall make an appointment online through the bank’s website, among other channels. The bank’s website will assign you an appointment according to the last number of your identity document (DNI) if you are a natural person or the last digit of their taxpayer identification code (CUIT) in the case of legal persons.
When can I go to the bank?
Only with the appointment arranged and the day you have been assigned according to the last number of your DNI (in case of natural person) or the digit (in case of legal persons)
The schedule is the following:
Monday 13: DNI ending in 0 and 1
Tuesday 14: DNI ending in 2 and 3
Wednesday 15: DNI ending in 4 and 5
Thursday 16: DNI ending in 6 and 7
Friday 17: DNI ending in 8 and 9
*Natural persons must take into account their DNI number and legal persons their CUIT.
When can I ask for an appointment?
As from April 8.
Can I go to the bank without an appointment? Will I still be attended?
No, you can go to the bank only if you have a previous appointment.
Shall I take a permit to circulate to get to the branch?
The ticket of the appointment so arranged serves as a circulation permit and will be requested for entry into the bank.
Can I go to the bank to open a bank account?
Yes, but first remember to take an appointment with your bank to reserve a date for the day you are assigned.
What transactions can I carry out that do not require over-the-counter services?
You can apply for a loan, submit documents, go to your safe-deposit box, make transactions related to your accounts, as natural or legal persons.
Remember that for any of these cases, you must make an appointment in advance according to the established schedule depending on the last number of your DNI or CUIT.
I need to withdraw money from the ATM, Can I go any day?
Yes. You may withdraw cash from an ATM near your house, any day and any time. Moreover, transactions through ATMs are free of charges or commissions, either for customers or non-customers, up to June 30.
Users may also withdraw money at stores or withdrawal points, such as supermarkets or pharmacies.
I am not a regular client at the ATM near my home, can I still withdraw money?
Yes. Natural or legal persons may withdraw cash from ATMs at least ARS15,000 daily per transaction, regardless of the institution and the ATM company involved, or whether the individual is a client or not. You may NOT be charged commissions or fees under any circumstances.
Can I go to a foreign exchange house?
No. Foreign exchange houses will be closed to the public. However, they may operate remotely.
