For the first time since the launch of 3.0 Transfers, interoperable QR code daily transactions exceeded the number of 50,000. The total number of transactions was 52,974 for an amount of ARS94,306,887, evidencing an increase of 134% compared to the first day the QR code system was fully operational.

During the first 23 days, a total of 786,276 transactions were carried out for an amount of ARS1,284,482,825. These figures show that the launch of the standardized QR code payment system had a promising start. Interoperability between e-wallets and acquirers for payments by transfer (pagos con transferencia, PCTs) is becoming more widespread and efficient.

3.0 Transfers created a digital, open, and universal ecosystem of payments. It is an innovative system that facilitates access to digital payments. Users will be able to make payments by reading QR codes with any e-wallet or bank app on their phones, transferring funds from bank accounts using a single banking code (CBU) and from payment service provider accounts using a single virtual code (CVU).

PCTs are accessible, efficient and safe, avoiding the use of cash or debit cards.

This new open and universal ecosystem implemented by the BCRA also boosts competition among the players in the system, thus resulting in better conditions for users and shops.
