Call for the 10th “Dr. Raúl Prebisch” Economic Research Annual Award

The BCRA calls professionals and university students to participate in the 10th edition of the “Dr. Raúl Prebisch” Economic Research Annual Award aimed at promoting research on monetary, macroeconomic, financial and banking fields in Argentina. The closing date for registration is October 31, 2016.

Categories:

a. Annual Award for University Students

First Prize: ARS30,000

Second Prize: ARS20,000

b. Annual Award for Young Professionals

First Prize: ARS60,000

Second Prize: ARS40,000

c. Annual Award for PhD Thesis in Economics completed in Argentina

Prize: ARS80,000

The jury is composed of Andrés Neumeyer (BCRA’s Economic Research Deputy General Manager), Ivan Werning (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT), José María Fanelli (Centre for the Study of State and Society (Centro de Estudios de Estado y Sociedad, CEDES) and George McCandless (BCRA’s Economic Research).

Theme:

For students and young professionals; themes connected with macroeconomics focusing on monetary and banking issues.

For doctoral thesis, the theme is open, although priority will be given to monetary and banking themes.
