Moratorium Interest Rate (TIM)

Base 03/06/1993 (in %)

The TIM is calculated daily based on the average of a deposit rate and a lending rate of the Argentine financial system. The passive rate reflects the yield on 30-day peso time deposits; the active rate is constructed on the basis of financing to the non-financial private sector by means of single-signature documents and personal loans. In order to preserve the value of the debts and their reasonableness, the average rate used as a base fluctuates within bands defined by the daily variation of the CER ± 3% effective annual rate.
