Agreement on Reciprocal Payments and Credit | ALADI
The Agreement on Reciprocal Payments and Credit (Convenio de Pagos y Créditos Recíprocos, CPCR) of the Latin American Integration Association (Asociación Latinoamericana de Integración, ALADI) has been signed by a number of central banks across Latin America.
The payments for goods and services made by resident persons from member countries are processed and cleared under this agreement over a four-month period. At the end of every four-month period, each central bank transfers or receives funds for the amount of their overall balance.
The BCRA is a signatory to the CPCR, together with the central banks of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela. Banco Central do Brasil is no longer a member since April 2019.
