2014 World Cup in Brazil
The 2014 International Commemorative Coin Program for the World Cup Brazil includes a collection of silver coins, which allows participating countries to express their vision of the sport.
The design of this numismatic piece was carried out in the Treasury’s Strategic Planning Management – Numismatic Issues Sub-Management of this Institution.

Obverse motif
In the foreground the Embrace of Gol can be seen surrounded by a geometric representation of the audience. The hug, chosen as a symbol, is the manifestation of the collective essence of the team that is replicated on the substitutes’ bench and in the stands.
The upper arch reads “FIFA WORLD CUP BRAZIL 2014™” and the exergue the face value “5 PESOS”.
The composition closes with a border with the years of all the editions of the World Cup organized by FIFA, including Brazil 2014: “1930”, “1934”, “1938”, “1950”, “1954”, “1958”, “1962”, “1966”, “1970”, “1974”, “1978”, “1982”, “1986”, “1990”, “1994”, “1998”, “2002”, “2006”, “2010”, “2014”. The two championships won by our country “1978” and “1986” stand out.
Motif on the back
It presents in the central position the Argentine National Shield, in the upper arch the inscription “REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA” and in the lower arch, the year of minting “2013”.
