Request evaluation from financial institution authorities

Procedure for submitting to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) the necessary documentation to evaluate the new authorities of a financial institution.

What is it?

It is the procedure by which financial institutions must request the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) to evaluate the persons proposed to occupy positions in their administrative, supervisory or general management bodies.

Who is it for?

Financial institutions (or promoters of a future entity) that need to submit the evaluation of their new authorities to the BCRA.

What is needed?

According to the ordered text of the rules on financial institution authorities, the following must be submitted:

Entity documentation:

– Note signed by the person exercising legal representation (see point 6.6, section 6).
– Decree or act of designation of authorities (assembly, board of directors or supervisory body).
Table with:
– Members of the last 2 administrative or supervisory bodies.
– Projected composition with the new authorities (ordered by hierarchy).

Documentation of the new authorities:

Personal Background Formula / Personal Background of Authorities of Financial Institutions and Evaluation of Authorities (APAEF) application.

– Proof of validation of the FAP.
– Individual Affidavit.
– Criminal record certificate.
– Curriculum vitae.

How is it done?

1. Have all the documentation required in the Harmonized Text of the rules on authorities of financial institutions

– It is allowed to inform the designation of the new authority or advance the Criminal Record Certificate by email to gerencia.autorizaciones@bcra.gob.ar, see points 3.1.6 and 6.2 of the regulations.
– Generate the Personal History Formula: complete the APAEF procedure. At the end, download the validation receipt and the Individual Affidavit.

2. Complete the form

Upload the files in PDF format (maximum 50 MB per file, resolution 150-200 dpi).


3. BCRA Review

The Authorisations Management will analyse the documentation and report the result by email.

4. Formal presentation

– Once the approval has been received from the Authorizations Management, submit a note addressed to the Authorizations Management (SEFyC) by email or at the Ticket Desk.

The grade must:

  • a. It must be signed by the legal representative or promoter of it.
    b. Include an affidavit in accordance with point 6.6, section 6, stating that: “the proposed authority is not disqualified from holding the position, that it has carried out the controls that allow it to make such a statement, and that all the documentation submitted by electronic means is a true copy of the documentation kept by the entity and is available to the SEFyC, detailing the place where it is located.”
