Commemorative Issues

Among the powers of the Central Bank is that of issuing currency with numismatic or commemorative value.
These special issues can be distinguished into two classes:

– Coins of non-compulsory legal tender intended for numismatic collecting.
– Coins and banknotes of forced legal tender with characteristic designs and/or values.
