The Nowcasting & Big Data Workshop was held on November 24, with the aim of joining efforts and sharing experiences and methodological approaches for the use of big data for forecasting, and learning how efforts are being developed in this direction in different governmental institutions such as central banks or statistical offices.

The main speakers were: Nikos Askitas (Coordinator of Data and Technology, IZA Institute of Labor Economics)Domenico Giannone (Assistant Vice President, Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies Function, Federal Reserve Bank of New York) and Pablo Pincheira Brown (Assistant Professor, Universidad Adolfo Ibañez).
