New information on “Social Security Free Accounts” is included in the BCRA’s digital platform to boost financial education.

In order to encourage the retired and pensioners to conduct more transactions on the accounts they collect their monthly payout, a new regulation is included in the BCRA’s financial education platform, #SaberEsCentral: Social Security Free Accounts.

This seeks to overcome the underuse of this kind of bank accounts and to promote the use of electronic means of payments, online banking, and mobile banking. This initiative has been designed for the retired and pensioners to adopt new financial skills for their own benefit in their daily life.

Thus, Anabela Gómez, senior analyst in the BCRA’s Financial Innovation area, together with the family of characters of #SaberEsCentral, clearly and simply explain how to avoid queuing at banks or service payment centers and carrying cash with ourselves.
