Janson Collection | Featured

On the first anniversary of the donation of the private collection of Héctor Carlos Janson, the Museum exhibited the most outstanding pieces such as the first national coins of 1813 and 1815, the coinage of Córdoba and the gold and silver pieces issued through the “Law of Monetary Unification”.

The provincial emergency coins, the issues of Buenos Aires and the “Tapados de Quiroga” were also presented.

Football, passion of crowds

The Central Bank Museum exhibited the commemorative coin of the 2018 World Cup in Russia in an exhibition that included the commemorative issues of the 1978 World Cup and those of the World Cup from 2006 to today, which are part of the Official Program of Commemorative Coins of the FIFA World Cup.

All the exhibitions could be visited free of charge at the Central Bank Museum, San Martín 216, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

The program was part of the BCRA’s cultural actions to strengthen public access to its historical, artistic and documentary heritage.
