The Central Bank reminds us of the best practices for financial users to operate more safely through electronic means.

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic reminds us of the best practices for operating safely with electronic channels and media.

Bear in mind:

The Central Bank will not call or email you to ask for your personal or bank details.

– For the collection of the IFE, retirements, pensions or any other allowance, you will never be asked as a condition to make a money transfer. All these procedures are free of charge and do not require intermediaries or agencies.

– Banks must not make any type of discount on the IFE.

Recommendations:

1. Do not give your personal data (usernames, passwords, pin, Social Security Code, Token Key, original ID or photocopy, photo, or any type of data), by phone, email, social network, WhatsApp or text message. Your bank will not ask you for that information either.
2. Do not enter personal or bank data on sites through links that come to you by email, they could be fraudulent. Always keep your contact details updated in the banks where you are a customer.
3. Do not accept benefits in which you are asked to make a money transfer in return.
4. Do not accept assistance – in person or by telephone – from third parties to operate at ATMs. Remember that it is forbidden to talk on a cell phone in banks and in the places assigned to these ATMs.
5. If you have the slightest doubt, contact your bank through its official channels.

If you take care of your personal and banking information, you can avoid scams.
