Héctor Carlos Janson Numismatic and Historical Museum will continue offering virtual guided tours for institutions, in addition to the in-person activities planned for 2022.

Due to the isolation measures taken during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Museum's professional team developed a series of digital presentations and descriptive videos for each of the rooms. This initiative allowed the largest public collection of payment methods in Argentina to be virtually accessible to institutions across all provinces.

Due to the high attendance rate and the positive feedback received from participants regarding both the content and the professional quality of the guides, virtual tours were included in the Museum's regular in-person activities. The Museum is located at San Martín 216, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

For requesting a virtual guided tour, institutions must send an e-mail to museo@bcra.gob.ar. Once the date and time are scheduled, participants will receive a link to access the virtual meeting. The Museum team will then guide the activity and answer all the group's questions live. The activity lasts about 40 minutes, and it can be requested in English.

To enhance the virtual tour experience, four videos about the Museum and the most important pieces of the collection are available:

• Introduction | History of the Museum

Room 1 | Native Peoples and Colonial Times

Room 2 | Independence and National Organization

Room 3 | Conservative Republic and the 20th Century

During the last few months of 2021, in over 30 virtual talks, nearly a thousand people from different institutions across Argentina enjoyed a didactic virtual tour showing Argentine history through the coins and banknotes that circulated in our country.
