The BCRA confirms that there have been no changes to the regulations governing the purchase of dollars by natural persons. Individuals may continue to access the Free Foreign Exchange Market (Mercado Libre de Cambios, MLC) through banks and other licensed institutions.
The purchase and sale of dollars is regulated by the BCRA and can only be conducted through licensed institutions. This means that foreign currency transactions can only be channeled through banks and exchange houses. The outsourcing of these transactions is not allowed.
