Branch service is expanded over the counter

Banks must attend, in turn, to people with disabilities who present themselves with their Certificate. Credits can also be paid in cash.

As of Monday, June 1, financial institutions must serve people with disabilities who present themselves with their valid Single Certificate of Disability over the counter, under the shift system. This was provided by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), through Communication A7028. In the event that they are beneficiaries of pension benefits, the attention for their collection will continue to be over the counter, in accordance with the schedule established by the ANSES or the one corresponding to the administrative entity.

In addition, financial institutions will be able to receive cash payments of loans over the counter, under the shift system, as long as none of their operating houses serve customers who are beneficiaries of pension benefits.

In branches, both individuals and companies can continue to carry out, also in turn, the operations that were already enabled:

  • Account Opening
  • Loan Management
  • Submission of documentation
  • Access to safe deposit boxes
  • Account-related procedures
  • Foreign currency deposits and withdrawals

The turn to access the branch is obtained through the digital or telephone channels that banks make available to customers. The receipt that the entities deliver serves as a circulation permit and will be requested to enter the bank.

Withdrawal and deposit operations in pesos are maintained by ATMs or self-service terminals. In the case of large volumes of cash, whatever the activity, it must be agreed with the entity.

ATMs are required to dispense at least $15,000 per day – and in a single operation, if the customer so wishes – and their use does not generate charges or commissions, both for customers and non-customers of the financial institution, until June 30.
