The initiative promoting standardized payments through a QR code had a promising start. Interoperability between electronic wallets and acceptors was broad and efficient.

3.0 Transfers is an initiative implemented by the BCRA. It has had a promising start today with the launch of the standardized QR code payment system. Interoperability between electronic wallets and acceptors was broad and efficient.

“Payments by transfer showed a high degree of integration. This program will allow stores and users to enjoy the benefits of electronic payments: security, immediacy, irrevocability and lower costs. At the same time, greater financial inclusion will be achieved,” said Pesce, Governor of the BCRA.

3.0 Transfers creates a digital, open and universal ecosystem of payments. It is an innovative system that facilitates access to digital payments. Users will be able to make payments by reading QR codes with any electronic wallet or bank app on their phones, transferring funds from bank accounts using a single banking code (CBU) and from payment service provider accounts using a single virtual code (CVU).
