Public-Private Partnerships to Face Challenges and Seize Opportunities
The BCRA held an event on December 6 called “Financial Education in Argentina. Public-Private Partnerships to Face Challenges and Seize Opportunities.”
The aim of this event was to discuss the current context of financial education and the need to take new collaborative actions in Argentina. In addition, the results obtained in two programs were presented: Learning How to Save Money, in which the BCRA worked with different financial institutions (Banco de la Nación Argentina, Credicoop, Nuevo Banco de Chaco, Santander Río, Galicia, Supervielle, Itaú); and Financial Skills for Life (Banco de la Provincia de Neuquén).
At the opening ceremony, Verónica Rappoport, Alternate Deputy Governor of the BCRA, said: “At the BCRA, we prioritize public and private sectors’ joint actions carried out with the aim of fostering financial development so that Argentina’s financial system may continue to grow, and become more competitive, efficient and inclusive.”
The event was attended by 41 people from 17 financial institutions and 4 bank associations (ABAPPRA, ABE, ADEBA and ABA).
