The Board of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) decided today to reduce the monetary policy rate. Thus, the rate on one-day term reverse repos decreased from 60% to 50% nominal annual rate (TNA) on this date.

The BCRA’s decision is made in consideration of the financial and liquidity context and is based on the rapid adjustment of inflation expectations, the consolidation of the fiscal anchor, and the contractive monetary impact derived from the seasonality in the Treasury’s external payments for the current quarter.
