The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) announces the winners of the eleventh edition of the "Dr. Raúl Prebisch Annual Economic Research Award" 2017.

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) announces the winners of the eleventh edition of the “Dr. Raúl Prebisch Annual Economic Research Award”.

As every year since 2007, the objective of the contest is to promote and stimulate research on monetary, macroeconomic, financial and banking topics in three different categories:

Annual University Student Award:

1st Prize | “Disinflation and lack of credibility in an inflation targeting regime”, by Pedro Martínez Bruera.

2nd Prize | Shared by:

  • “The pass-through to prices of exchange rate depreciations: a VECM estimate for the Argentine case (2005-2017)”, by Benjamín Castiglioni
  • “Evaluation of the competition of the Argentine banking system period 2006-2016 through a Panzar-Rosse model”, by Juan Pajón Scocco.

Annual Young Professionals Award:

1st Prize | “Price Dispersion and Inflation: Evidence on the Argentine Case”, by Federico Moll.

2nd Prize | Vacant.

Annual Award for Doctoral Thesis in Economics:

“Macroeconomics and Financial Fragility”, by Nicolás Eduardo Caramp
