National Constituent Convention

BCRA - Commemorative Coin 40 years of Democracy
In 1994, a call was made to the Constituent Conventions aimed at the reform of the Magna Carta of our country, which constituted an event of great importance for institutional life. In this context, the Governors of Entre Ríos and Santa Fe requested that commemorative coins be minted as legal tender.

These events created an ideal environment to resume numismatic broadcasts. This series, issued on November 21, 1994, comprises 6 coins:

Gold $25 | Gold $50 | Silver $2 | Silver $5 | Nickel $2 | Nickel $5

All pieces were minted in two qualities: proof and circulation. The first are presented in different vélvetex type cases containing the coins in different mixes (case with the 6 coins, case with 2 -one of each METAL-, and case with 4 coins -2 silver and 2 nickel-).
