Institutional Report: Board of Directors and Laws of the Financial System (1935-2025)
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the creation of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), this publication commemorates the institutional trajectory of the organization through an exhaustive documentary and regulatory survey.
The paper presents the historical evolution of the functions and competencies of the BCRA according to the different organic charters and regulatory frameworks that governed from its creation in 1935 to the present. It also includes the complete list of the Bank’s boards of directors as of May 31 of each year, the day of its foundation, and an analysis of the main regulatory changes in the Argentine financial system.
