Information on financial institutions

This monthly publication aims to improve the flow of timely and complete information between banks and supervisory authorities, between lenders and borrowers, and between financial institutions and their shareholders and depositors; to promote better internal management of banks, thus enabling more effective supervision and encouraging better credit analysis. This will help to reduce the intermediation margins on loans and strengthen the security and soundness of the system. Thus, users of the financial system will have an important analysis tool when deciding their operations.

The information in this publication arises from what is presented by the financial institutions in compliance with the information regime. For this reason, its dissemination does not imply any agreement on the part of this Central Bank.

Here it will be possible to obtain information on each of the entities of the financial system and aggregate information on the total financial system as a whole (banks, public banks, private banks, local banks with national capital, local banks with foreign capital, branches of foreign financial institutions, financial companies, financial companies with national and foreign capital, etc.). credit banks and the top 10 private banks according to the amount of their assets).

In addition, aggregate information only on the debtors of the total financial system and financial trusts.

The aggregate figures in each of the levels described above are extracted from the information of the month to which the published data correspond or from the last one validated by each entity as of the cut-off date. This criterion is used for additional information, financial statements, and the status of debtors.

In addition, the open data of all the entities is made available in a zipped file (.7z) to facilitate downloading. The data is in .txt format and contains a pdf detailing the contents of the file. This information replaces the information that was previously distributed in the Financial Institutions Information CD.
