2006 FIFA World Cup Germany

The Board of Directors of the BCRA approved Argentina’s participation in the “Official Program of Commemorative Coins of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany”, of which silver coins with 2003, 2004 and 2005 stamps have already been issued, and gold coins with 2004 and 2005 stamps.

Stamp 2004: On the field, a player is seen in possession of the ball. The upper arch reads “ARGENTINE REPUBLIC”, and the lower one reads “2004”.
Stamp 2005: On the field, a player is seen who is going to kick the ball with emphasis. The upper left arch reads “ARGENTINE REPUBLIC”, and the lower arch “2005”.

Motif on the back

It reads “FIFA WORLD CUP” on the top arch, and “GERMANY 2006” on the base, in two lines. In the field of the coin, the World Cup logo, the value in numbers and below it the word “PESOS”.
