How to act on a debit that you do not recognize

If you detect an unagreed or unagreed debit in your account, you can:

1) Request the reversal of the debit at your financial institution.

2) Make the claim to the company that originated the debit (for example, a service or supplier).

When to intervene Consumer Defense

If the company does not respond or does not solve the problem, you can present the case to the National Directorate of Consumer Defense, which will refer it to the corresponding local body for treatment.

How to avoid new unwanted debits

Remember that you can:

– Request the definitive cancellation of the automatic debit from your financial institution.

– Request the cancellation also from the company receiving the funds, so that it stops generating new debits.
