Agreement on Reciprocal Payments and Credit | ALADI

The Agreement on Reciprocal Payments and Credit (Convenio de Pagos y Créditos Recíprocos, CPCR) of the Latin American Integration Association (Asociación Latinoamericana de Integración, ALADI) has been signed by the central banks of Latin America.
The payments for goods and services made by resident persons in member countries are cleared under this agreement

over a four-month period. At the end of a quarter, each central bank transfers or receives funds for the amount of their overall balance.

The BCRA is part of the Agreement on Reciprocal Payments and Credit together with the central banks of Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela. Banco Central do Brasil is no longer a member of this agreement since April 2019.
