75th Anniversary of the Creation of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic
The issuance of a series of commemorative coins, “Circulation” quality in cupronickel, and “Proof” quality in gold and silver, pays tribute to the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic on the 75th anniversary of its creation, a governing body created in 1935 under the government of Agustín P. Justo, as a result of the monetary and banking reform.
The design of this numismatic piece was carried out by the Treasury Planning and Control Management – Control, Design and Numismatics Sub-management of this Institution.
Of the total number of pieces minted in circulation quality, 5000 units have a smooth edge and are presented in a sample book, in which the characteristics of the issue are detailed.

It presents, in the central imprint, the main access door to the building located at 266 Reconquista Street. On the left is the date of creation of the Central Bank “31/V/1935” and on the right the date of its 75th anniversary “31/V/2010”. The lower arch reads “CENTRAL BANK OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC”.
Motif on the back
In the center, in the right half, a partial view of the institutional isologo can be seen; on its left the face value “1” and below it the word “WEIGHT”. In the exergue, the year of minting “2010” is read.
